Pacific 7 is suitably equipped and experienced for any type of Marine Piling & Construction work
The methods we use are:
Drop Hammer – Impact hammers are used to drive the piles into the ground. An impact hammer consists of a heavy ram weight that is raised mechanically or hydraulically and then dropped onto the head of the pile. During impact, the kinetic energy of the falling ram is transferred to the pile, causing the pile to penetrate the ground.
Vibro Hammer – By reducing the resistance of the ground with vibration and by changing the formation of the ground. Our vibratory piling machine transfers vertical vibrations to the pile via the hydraulic clamp. This in turn, transfers vibration to the ground which reduces the friction between the pile and the ground allowing the pile to be driven or extracted with less force. The pile is driven into the ground by a combination of the vibrators weight and the centrifugal force it produces.
Hydraulic Hammer – A hydraulic hammer, usually mounted on a piling rig with leader, impacts on the piling element using a ram mass. Impact driving is used for the same applications as vibrating.
Water Jetting – Water jetting is a process in which piles are installed while water under high pressure is injected at the leading edge of the pile. This is done at a low level of discharge. This creates temporary water over-tension at that point, enabling the piles to be installed with less resistance and thus more easily and with less nuisance from vibration. Owing to the low debit, the substrata are able to recover and this means that the soil’s properties undergo hardly any change.
